MY JOURNEY: FROM CONFUSION TO THRIVING
One morning, I woke up and found myself in the life I had carefully built—a marriage, children, everything society told me should feel like “enough.”
But I felt utterly lost.
Perimenopause arrived like an uninvited storm, and no one had warned me. My body became unfamiliar. My patience—once my anchor—wore thin with the very people I loved most. I began questioning everything I thought I knew about who I was.
I was handed a leaflet about hot flashes.
But no one prepared me for the identity crisis.
No one guided me through the communication breakdowns with my husband.
No one told me I would feel like a stranger to myself.
I navigated that fog alone—piecing together health strategies, holding my life together with hands that sometimes shook, all while raising children and managing the complex reality of an 18-year marriage. I learned what it meant to advocate for myself when I wasn't even sure who I was anymore.
It was in that messy, painful, deeply transformative space that AJA Midlyfe was born.
I realized: if I—a determined, resourceful woman who had spent nearly two decades in partnership, who had built a home, who had done everything "right"—felt this overwhelmed, then millions of others were suffering in silence too.
So I did what I have always done: I turned my hard-won experience into something useful. I took the lessons from 18 years of navigating marriage, motherhood, and my own changing body, and I created the roadmap I wished someone had handed me.
My mission is simple:
